Comment: I enjoyed your website very much. I was also interested because I am a Hodge descendant. My gr gr grandmother was Minerva Ann Hodge who was born in Ky aroun 1810 to 1814. the census is contradictory. I think she was the Minerva Ann Hodge who married Malachi E Oliver in Madison Co, Tenn in 1830. In 1842 she married Thomas Fitzhugh Bryarly in Red River Co, Tx. She had two boys, William and John, b. 1833 and 1835. We have established that she grew up near Bowling Green and her uncle was said to have owned a mill there. We are certain she is a Hodge because we confirmed her maiden name through Bryarly papers at Duke University. Do you have any clues that would tie her into your Hodge family? she couldn't have just dropped out of the sky. Comment: Greetings! Just starting a new search for roots. My dad was Thomas James Wilbert Hodge. His dad was Thomas Hodge of Clontibret, County Monaghan, Ireland who emigrated to PA in early 1900's. Grandfather had 6-7 brothers and sisters who also came across. I had no idea there were so many other branches of the Hodge clan. This is a great site to have stumbled across.
